John 'Jay Jay' French
Born John French Segall in New York City, John 'Jay Jay' French has been involved in the music industry for over 30 years. As a guitar player he made his mark by founding the world famous band Twisted Sister in 1973. Twisted Sister, celebrating its 30th anniversary, has sold over 10 million records in eight countries, performed 9,000 shows in 22 countries and has amassed 35 silver, gold and platinum sales certifications world-wide. As a manager, besides managing Twisted Sister he also managed and produced the Nu Metal legends Sevendust who have sold over two million records. As Guitar player, producer and manager, Jay Jay lives for the music. He joined with his partner and long time friend Sean Sullivan 5 years ago to expand this enormous wealth of experience and knowledge. Rebellion Entertainment is the result of that goal.
Sean Sullivan
Sean Sullivan has 18 years in the music business. He spent 10 years with Sony Music, starting as a college rep in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He ran the Hard Rock/Metal department for Columbia Records where he worked with artists like Alice In Chains, Judas Priest, Carcass, Entombed and Earache Records.
Sean then took over the College Marketing Department for Sony Music, rebuilding it to become the premenant department in the industry. While there he was instrumental in the development of artists as diverse as Korn, Jeff Buckley, G Love, Fiona Apple, Ben Folds 5 and Incubus to name a few.
After leaving Sony Music, Sean went to Hoffman Entertainment. At Hoffman Entertainment he ran the day to day operations and was responsible for all aspects of marketing, radio, sales and touring for the company’s artists. While at Hoffman he worked with John Mellencamp, Maxwell, Jessica Simpson, Thalia, Mindy McCready and Julio Iglesias.
In 2001 Sean finally decided to start his own company and joined up with his long time friend Jay Jay French. Together they have created a successful, full service management company that represents artists, songwriters and producers. The music runs the gamut from Rock to Pop, Hip Hop to Metal, Jazz to Electronic and more.
